Hello Everyone,
My beautiful bride Ana-Marie’s wedding took place May 31st, 2013 at the Marriott in Camarillo, CA. For this wedding I had the wonderful opportunity to do do hair and makeup for the bride plus all five of her beautiful bridesmaids.Ana-Marie found me on The Knot (as many brides do) and when we began discussing her dream wedding hair and makeup look she mentioned that she did not need to do a hair and makeup trial, that she would just trust me. Now, as much as I appreciate Ana-Marie’s confidence in my abilities this is not something I recommend most brides do. Nevertheless, Ana-Marie looked gorgeous on her wedding day and her party was one to remember!
To get ready for Ana-Marie’s big day all of the bridesmaids had to show up at the hotel at 7 am. Although they did not want to get out of bed this early, once they all did they were all very excited, funny outgoing … just wonderful people. I’m pleased to report that they were all so happy with their hair and makeup looks.
I am a bit sad that I did not get more time to know the bride for she was so easygoing, carefree and lovely. For her wedding look she told me she wanted a not too dramatic smokey eye and that she wanted to wear her hair up. What was unique about Ana-Marie is that she gave me no picture ideas… Her words were “I trust you just make me beautiful.” This happens only a few times a year where brides allow me to just create magic. I always love having my clients give me photos for inspiration so that I can recreate the look. However, when a bride puts their full trust in me and lets me do my thing I get very excited and creative especially with the detail in their hair detail.
In these photos you can’t see the back of Ana-Marie’s hair but I made sure that when you did see the back of her she had intricate detailing adding braids, loops and both small and large curls to give her hair some texture.
I want to thank Ana-Marie, her wonderful bridal party and everyone involved for being such wonderful people. It was a pleasure to work with you. Wishing Ana-Marie and her husband all the best in love and marriage!
