Devin DeVasquez

Hey Everyone!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of being the makeup artist for the incredibly beautiful and talented Devin DeVasquez for a 50’s & 60’s inspired photo shoot. The shoot took place at Devin’s home in Pleasant Valley, CA.  This shoot was amazing fun and somewhat of a reunion. For those of you who follow my blog you know that I have worked with Devin on a photo shoot in the past. If you don’t know much about Devin, you should definitely look her up- she was Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in June of 1985 and has appeared in over 100 commercials. Devin is an activist, entrepreneur and an all around inspiring woman. She recently released a book called “True Age, Timeless Beauty”, which recently won an eLit award gold award in the sexuality/relationships category. Side note: the photo that was used as the cover of the book “True Age, Timeless Beauty” was taken during my last photo shoot with Devin. I’m very proud of this accomplishment : )

As was the case the first time I did makeup and hair on Devin, her wonderful husband Ronn Moss was the photographer. For those of you who don’t know Ronn, he played  Ridge Forrester on the CBS series, The Bold and The Beautiful. Ron, like Devin, is multi-talented and is a very gifted photographer. His knack for capturing the essence of the moment and his artistic ability are incredible.  Above and below are two photos from the shoot that I’ve seen thus far- I can’t wait to see how the rest of them turned out.

We created a bunch of different looks and I have no doubt that the photos are going to look fantastic. As you can see from the photo above, Devin and Ronn asked me to jump in a few photos (that’s me on the far right!). This is something I normally don’t do as I’m a behind the scenes kind of woman but it was fun nevertheless! I do love that photo. Also in this photo is our good friend Lisa Marie who is also stunningly beautiful and a wonderful person.

I want to thank Devin for making me the makeup artist and hairstylist for this shoot. As always she was a pleasure to work with and she is every bit as gorgeous today as she was back then (if not more so). There are already new projects in the works with her and some of her friends- I cannot wait. The best is yet to come!
