So excited to share today some photos from a beautiful Los Angeles wedding I was the bridal makeup artist and hair stylist for that took place in August.
The beautiful bride that you see in these photos is Naomi, a super sweet woman who I met for the first time during her hair and makeup trial (which I recommend every bride do) at my studio in Calabasas. As soon as we met, I knew we were going to mesh because of how sweet she was.
After a few fun-filled hours of beautifying, laughing and getting to know each other during her trial, Naomi and I locked down her wedding day hair and makeup look.
Naomi’s Wedding Hair and Makeup Look
To accentuate Naomi’s wonderful features, we decided to go with what I call a fresh-looking hair and makeup look on her wedding day.
For her makeup we went with a fresh faced, soft eyes look. To do so I placed soft browns from lash line to the crease of the eye, adding individual eyelashes to thicken her lashes- mainly focusing on the out corner of the eye.
As I do with all of my clients, we airbrushed her skin using Makeup Forever HD Foundation to give her flawless skin and used a light bronzer and contour for definition. To complete her makeup look, we used a pale pink blush by Bobbie Brown cosmetics for a flushing look to the cheeks, as well as a a light berry look on her lips that was 1/2 shade darker then her natural lip color.
For her hair, we gave her 1 1/2 inch waves throughout, giving her relaxed, soft hair with volume on top and on the sides.
I’m really excited about how these wedding photos turned out. Per usual, the wedding photographer Yair Haim did a fantastic job of capturing Naomi’s natural beauty. I’ve worked with Yair many times now and I can’t overstate how important it is to hire a good photographer for your wedding.
