I recently had the opportunity to be the bridal makeup artist and hair stylist for a wedding at the Westlake Village Inn between the beautiful Jamie & Michael who are an absolutely gorgeous couple who look like Barbie & Ken. Jamie and I first met after she reached out to me after having found me on The Knot.
After an initial phone consultation where Jamie told me what she was looking for as far as wedding looks go, we setup a hair and makeup trial (which I recommend absolutely EVERY bride do) which also served as hair and makeup prep for her engagement shoot. As you can see from Jamie’s wedding photos she looked absolutely gorgeous on her wedding day. Jamie is the kind of bride that would look beautiful no matter what you did for her as far as hair and makeup goes but on her wedding day we decided to do a black smoldering eye, contoured cheeks, thick eyelashes and voluminous curls for her hair. We also ended up doing a second hairstyle for the reception in which we gave her cascading side-swept curls. The end result? She looked like she belongs in a bridal magazine.
I want to thank Jamie, Michael and Jamie’s wonderful bridal party for being such wonderful people to work with. Besides doing Jamie’s hair and makeup, Dana and Quendie from my team did the hair and makeup for all of Jamie’s bridesmaids, her mom and her aunt. My team and I really had a lot of fun beautifying everyone for this wedding and are blessed to have had the opportunity.
