Following are some photos from a high fashion style wedding that I was the makeup artist and hair stylist for at the London Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. For those of you who are still searching for a wedding venue the London Hotel is fantastic- I’ve worked other weddings there and have nothing but fantastic things to say about it. I highly recommend it.
I absolutely love these wedding photos because they deviate a bit from what I usually do as a makeup look. I first got in touch with the beautiful bride Jamie after having been contacted by her fabulous wedding planner Laura James who called to see whether or not I’d be interested in doing an outside-the-box high fashion style look. She mentioned that she had a bride that lived in Canada who was going to be getting married here in Los Angeles, CA. and needed to find a makeup artist capable of creating her client’s dream look.
Originally Jamie was set to do a number of different bridal trials as she was a bit nervous about being able to accomplish the look she knew she wanted. I couldn’t be prouder to say though that after our bridal trial here at my beauty studio in Calabasas, CA. she canceled the rest of her trials as she was happy with the look we created. This makes me so happy as I do everything that I can to be the best makeup artist possible and provide the highest levels of service possible.
I couldn’t be more excited about how these photos turned out. As you can see from the bridal photography we gave Jamie high fashion hair- she wanted big, voluminous hair with a fish-tailed braid at the end. For her makeup we did a purple, brown & black smokey eye that I think turned out wonderfully. I want to thank Lin & Jirsa Photography for doing such a fantastic job of capturing the wedding and my work. I also want to thank the wedding planner Laura James of the Something Blue Wedding Company for bringing me on board- it was a fantastic experience.
