Hey Everybody!
I’m excited to share some photos with you from the beautiful Devin DeVasquez’ 50th birthday party that took place at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA. As I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts, I have worked with Devin before and she is absolutely an amazing woman. Not only was this party held to celebrate her upcoming birthday but it was also a benefit for Shelter Hope Pet Shop and a concert for the band Player. If you haven’t heard of Shelter Hope Pet Shop it is an amazing cause. From their website,
“Shelter Hope Pet Shop was created to aid shelter pet adoptions, promote education and bring awareness to the communities we serve.Shelter Hope Pet Shop provides a fun, friendly place where Visitors and Volunteers can meet and interact with animals needing adoption. “
If there is any way you can get involved please do so- this is a wonderful organization that is doing some great things. Devin’s party raised more than $5000 for this wonderful organization and last I heard more donations were coming in online. We all need to do our part in helping homeless animals- if you don’t want to donate money the website lists some things you can do other than donate money to get involved.can also visit Shelter Hope Pet Shop for all of your pet care needs and know your dollars are going to help save the lives of these homeless pets.”
On another note, having the chance to see Player perform was awesome! For those of you who don’t know Player, they are best known for their hit song “Baby Come Back”. Ron Moss, Devin’s husband is in the band. They are extremely talented and are making a comeback. Some of the people on hand to celebrate Devin’s birthday and watch Player perform include REO Speedwagon, artist Olivia, Michael Moebius, Katherine Kelly Lang, Winsor Harmon, Allie Mills, Orsen Bean, Adam Gregory, Linda Thompson, Sheree J. Wilson, Renee Tenison, Sean Kanan & Bud Cort all rocking out on the dance floor to the music of Player.
Overall for me this whole day was spectacular (it was after all a Monday!). I met with Devin at her house mid day to do her hair and makeup (always a great time)then we all showed up at the venue at around 8:00 to take some pictures (we got to take pictures with the puppies!). The party was filled with food, fun and amazing people.
I want to thank Devin again for everything- not only do I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to do your hair and makeup for this special occasion, but the fact that I was then invited to the party was amazing and a testament to how sweet and kind you are. You looked absolutely gorgeous and I had an amazing time at the party- it will be one of those that I never forget. I couldn’t be more thankful to have you in my life and I couldn’t be more thankful for all that I have been blessed with. I look forward to working with Devin again soon!
