Happy Monday Everyone!
I’m excited to share these wonderful photos I just received this weekend from an engagement shoot I was the makeup artist for. As you know if you’ve followed my blog, I absolutely adore doing hair and makeup for engagement photo shoots. This particular shoot was with the beautiful Ms. Meghan Morgan who came to me in search of a bridal makeup artist. When we began speaking about her dream wedding (I also love doing these consultations), she asked me whether or not we could do a wedding trial and get her prepared for her engagement photos in the same day. I told her not only is this possible, but recommended! To me this is the ideal situation as a bride to be then gets to spend time with her wedding makeup artist and get to know her, and also have the opportunity to see her wedding makeup artist do multiple looks. This is a great way to gauge whether or not there is a good fit and there is good energy between artist and client.
Needless to say Meghan and I had a blast together here at my studio in Calabasas, CA. She is an incredibly classy, sweet woman. When we first talked Meghan wasn’t completely sure what she wanted but she did know that she wanted to wear her hair down, have voluminous curls and for eyes to really pop. Beyond that she told me to,” just do my thing” and that’s what I did! I think she looks gorgeous in her photos and her and her fiancee make a great looking couple.
I want to thank Meghan for the opportunity to beautify her for her engagement photos and making me the makeup artist and hairstylist for her wedding in August. She’ll be getting married at the Bel Air Bay Club which is a fantastic place for a wedding. I’ll be doing hair and makeup for her and her mother, as well as hair and makeup for the mother of the groom. I’m so excited! More photos to come!
