Hey Everyone!
I have some very fun photos to share with you from a shoot I was the makeup artist & hairstylist for. The shoot was a high fashion shoot with the beautiful model Lindsay LaRae and took place in Valencia, CA. The shoot was done in partnership with photographer Brittany Berggren, and was done to update Lindsay’s high fashion modeling portfolio. This photo shoot was sooo much fun.
As you can see from the photos, we did various different looks on Lindsay. As for the look we were going for, for her hair we wanted to do big voluminous hair with lots of curls and complimented that with a very dramatic, high fashion makeup application that featured very strong lines. Linday was a total sweet heart and a lot of fun to work with and as you can see she is gorgeous. I was the makeup artist for a fashion shoot with Lindsay a little while back that turned out wonderfully so I knew what to expect going into this project. When we got together to discuss the look we were going for she told me to just, “work my magic and do my thing.” As a makeup artist who likes to get creative I love it when this happens. In my experience this is when the magic really happens- when creative people get use their imagination and run wild.
Every time I get photos of my hair and makeup work and post them on this site I make it a point to try and choose one photo as my favorite. With this shoot, it is a bit difficult- I think they all turned out so well. If I had to choose one, it would be the last one where I’m shown using the hairspray on Lindsay only because it is a fun pic and the photographer did such a good job of capturing that moment. I also think Lindsay looks gorgeous in the closeup directly below.
I want to thank Lindsay and Brittany for such an awesome shoot. They were both great to work with!
