Hi Everyone!
I was the makeup artist for an engagement photo shoot that took place in Thousand Oaks, CA for a beautiful young couple who were getting married on January 7, 2011. I worked on this engagement shoot with Trisha Lawson of Trisha Lawson photography who is a wonderful photographer. I love working on engagement shoots- there is just something about them. On engagement shoots there is so much love in the air, so much anticipation for two people to commit to spending the rest of their lives together- they are amazing, and the photos always turn out beautifully.
This shoot took place in the woods of beautiful Thousand Oaks, CA which is a great place to take engagement pictures. As you can see, the weather didn’t quite cooperate with us (which is rare for Thousand Oaks) but the pictures turned out amazingly nonetheless. The woods, trees, plants and all of the colors involved make for an amazing backdrop and for amazing photography. Below are some photos from the shoot. My two favorites are the save the date photo and the photo of the beautiful young couple at the table. Trisha, as you can see is very creative and does a wonderful job of adding that little something that makes all the difference in the photos.
I also really like the photo with the acoustic guitar in it. To me this does a great job of capturing Ben’s love of the guitar, as well as his love for his fiancee. The photo also does a good job of capturing Julie’s admiration for David. They are such a beautiful couple.
I want to thank David, Julie and Trisha for making me a part of this engagement shoot. It was a blast working with everyone. I also want to wish Ben and Sara all the best in the months ahead leading up to their wedding. I’m really looking forward to being a part of that as well!
